  • How much weight will your shelves hold?

    Our shelving will hold 750 to 1,000 pounds, depending on size & location.  We have had no issues with weight limitations.

  • How can we use our space the best?

    Every garage is different, but our basic idea is to get everything off the floor by using wall mounted and ceiling mounted shelving.

  • Can I park under the overhead shelves?

    Yes.  Our shelving is designed to have no obstructions, allowing you to walk under the shelving and, of course to park under the shelving.

    While we can install shelving at any height that meets your needs and the “shape” of your garage, generally we work to avoid any “head-banging” risks.

  • How do the shelves attach to the walls?

    Shelving is attached to the walls with 3 inch “lag” bolts, attached to the wood wall studs behind the sheetrock in your garage.  Using a stud sensor we find the middle of each stud to insure maximum strength.

  • How long does it take to install?

    Most installations can be completed in one day.  Larger jobs may take two or more days.

  • Once I place the order, how long till installation?

    Our goal is to install within a week or two after an order is placed.  Cabinet orders take a bit longer because of the need to schedule fabrication by our cabinet maker.

  • Who does the work?

    Patriot Construction Co. is an owner operated business.  Steve Wood, owner, is also the primary installer, working with a helper or two.  Where called for, Steve partners with trusted and experienced electrical, painting and plumbing subcontractors.

  • Do I have to be home during installation?

    We like to meet with the homeowner briefly on the date of installation to settle on any final details related to the work to be done, but after that you don’t need to be home.

  • Can I add shelving on the day of installation?

    Yes.  While we will work with you to plan the work in advance, we know some ideas emerge as late as the date of installation.  We bring enough material with us to make modest changes.  For major changes or additions to the work, we are pleased to schedule a second installation date.

  • Will you come back if I am not satisfied with something?

    Our goal is to provide a satisfying result as we complete the work.  However, if anything is not satisfactory, we are certainly willing to return to make any desired changes or additions.
